Dubai Shopping Festival
One of the biggest events of the year is the Shopping Festival. It blows up the city with concerts, art exhibits, street performers, sport activities, amazing raffles and huge sales lasting for one month. This great festival is held for three days across three stages by the lake in Dubai Media City. It attracts thousands of people and loads of talented international jazz bands.

RELIGION OF THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES:
- Islam is the official state religion. There are 31 churches, and 1 Hindu Temple in the region of Bur Dubai. Emirates are largely Muslim, Sunni (85%), and Shia (15%). Women in the UAE can not marry men "of the book", but men can marry women "out of the book" (Christians and Jews).The most religious time of the year in Dubai is the fast of Ramadan, and it lasts for one month. This is when Muslims fast during day-light hours to fulfill the fourth pillar of Islam.
ARTS AND MUSIC OF THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES:
- In Dubai, majority of local artists play rock and metal music. Some also play alternative styles of music like ska, punk, house and experimental sounds. Also it stems from Persian Gulf Seafaring traditions, and from Bedouin folk music, dance songs/fisherman, Liwa (or leiwah/leywah) type of music and dance preformed. The arts of the UAE is party seen in the buildings and the way they are designed. The UAE also has wonderful statues and paintings.
